چکیده
Bis-triazinyl-pyridines (BTPs) have been developed at CEA-Marcoule to separate actinides(III) from lanthanides(III). Although high separation performances were observed in the counter-current hot test carried out in 1999 on a highly active effluent, the extraction and back-extraction yields of actinides(III) were lower than expected from calculation. A strong sensitivity of the extractant towards air oxidation and acidic hydrolysis was actually pointed out. Therefore, the hydrolysis of bis-triazinylpyridines was deeply investigated (qualitative determination of the degradation products) in different experimental conditions. It appeared that the branching of the alkyl groups on the α position of the triazine rings hindered the hydrolysis of the extractant. The formulation of the solvent was thus optimised and tested again in 2001 on a genuine DIAMEX back-extraction solution in the ATALANTE facility.

Gamma radiolytic stability of CyMe4BTBP and the effect of nitric acid
Within international research in partitioning and transmutation (P&T), the separation of trivalent actinides (An(III)) from the chemical similar trivalent lanthanides (Ln(III)) is a main task that was comprehensively studied within the last two decades [1–3]. The investigated solvent extraction processes often follow the plutonium uranium reduction extraction (PUREX) process, in which uranium a...
متن کاملComplexes of click-derived bistriazolylpyridines: remarkable electronic influence of remote substituents on thermodynamic stability as well as electronic and magnetic properties.
2,6-Bis(1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine (btp) ligands with substitution patterns ranging from strongly electron-donating to strongly electron-accepting groups, readily prepared by means of Cu-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (the "click" reaction), were investigated with regard to their complexation behavior, and the properties of the resulting transition-metal compounds were compared. Metal-btp...
متن کاملA Comprehensive Review of Rapid-Onset Opioids for Breakthrough Pain
Breakthrough pain (BTP) is a transitory pain (reaching maximum severity in ~15 minutes and lasting ~60 minutes in patients with cancer) that occurs despite the management of chronic pain with long-term around-the-clock analgesia. BTP occurs in 33-65% of patients with chronic cancer pain and in ~70% of patients with chronic noncancer pain. BTP has historically been managed with short-acting opio...
متن کاملDevelopment and performance of a diagnostic/prognostic scoring system for breakthrough pain
OBJECTIVES Variable prevalence and treatment of breakthrough pain (BTP) in different clinical contexts are partially due to the lack of reliable/validated diagnostic tools with prognostic capability. We report the statistical basis and performance analysis of a novel BTP scoring system based on the naïve Bayes classifier (NBC) approach and an 11-item IQ-BTP validated questionnaire. This system ...
متن کاملIntelligent Integrated Model for Predicting Burn-Through Point Based on Gas Temperature Distribution
This paper presents an integrated model for predicting the burn-through point (BTP) of the lead-zinc sintering process from the gas temperature distribution (GTD). This process features strong nonlinearity, a large time delay, and time-varying parameters. First, the characteristics of the GTD in the sintering machine are obtained from experiments, and a surface temperature model for the materia...
